Delirium V3

It was a really fun night with a little mix of electronica which is very very rare in Buffalo. It always amazes me that when I go clubbing in Buffalo, I will surely be able to meet lots of people whom I know and I am quite happy with this. Partly this is due to the fact that it is an event hosted by friends so, bring out your party dress. The cold is only temporary ^^

Full size pictures are available at my newly made flickr, though I seem to have gotten the sequencing wrong. I still have not figured out how to correct it and to avoid making the same mistake again in the future.

Here are some of the few best shots which I managed to snap.

Oh well, enjoy =)

I was greeted by Genya + DJ Kid.

I like the shots which I got off from Ryo.

Zekun + The ghost of Janice + Ken

DSC_1083
This is one of the most amazing action shots which I was lucky enough to be able to capture.

Mie + Kazuhiro + Arisa
I thought this was very befitting to be the title and main logo for the album.
Delirium 3, 3 snowboards lined up.

DJ Kid

DSC_1112
I got a few good and steady close up shots with DJ Kid.
It was really difficult for me to be able to angle the flash as to not to over expose his face.

DSC_1138
Nancy + Michelle
This is my favourite shot of the these 2 BFF.
It was disappointing since their skin tone was overexposed and that the background is dark.

DSC_1136
Lora + Vivian
Again, I thought this was a little overexposed, but I like it because I can see the details of their dresses.

DSC_1142
Ben + Yan + SS Mattie + Raymond + Annie + Hsiung Huei

DSC_1152
I particularly enjoy this photo because of the vibrant colours of the individuals.
Notice that they are equally separated by the panels of the windows.

Wakako

DSC_1160
I like this shot because of the raw expressions of the faces.
The only thing that was lacking was the lady whose back of the head was facing towards me.

Atsushi showing off his JSA logo =)

DSC_1233
Mattie + Janice + Jessica
I thought that this was rather silly, though Ken's hand was too overexposed.
The particular whiteout is due to the irrecoverable detail from the flash.

Vicky + Shuen Siuan + Jerri + Hsiung Huei + Mattie + Anastasia
I thought that this was one of the most well composed amongst all of the group photos.

The word is 'Pimp'

Yuki + Maika + Genya + Maiko + Wakako + Lynette
This shot shows one of the many silly little things that I usually see.

This was quite a good shot that Andy got of Maika.
I particularly like how this turned out, but I was hoping to get more of her front.

Hakuyou Ryu
While editing this, I thought of it as a Levi's Jeans commercial.

This was cool, but the colours were flat, so I turned it into sepia mode.

That's all for now. Looking forward to another shoot.

  1. I loved the action shot (DSC_1083) too!

I personally find posed pictures (ie, friends standing together etc) boring because imvho, it takes a lot of courage to not look boring in a standard group photo when sober. (If not sober, chances are we'll be seeing a lot of different poses...)

I enjoy the top-down angled pictures a lot. Would suggest getting a bottom-top angle but I guess it would've looked rather suspect at such an energetic event.

Atsushi has the most comical expression. And Ryo has the most amazing hat/hair combo. Girl in DSC_1060 - she cute. Maika, she hot... oh yea. /perv.

    :P

P.S. Considering that you're trying to keep this blog clean and professional (cough), do tell me if you'd prefer me to keep my comments similar clean and professional.
